While the title of this book (the second gem from our outing to the Truck Library ) intrigued me from afar, when I picked it up and saw the author was Margaret Wild, I barely had to read it to know it was coming home with us for a few weeks!  Some authors have the touch of gold and every time they put pen to paper, they create a treasure.  Of course, this book is no different!  The story is screaming at all of us to slow down, to enjoy our every day and take the time to share moments with those we love.  Yet, Margaret Wild (with the help of the beautiful illustrations by Vivienne To)  sends this messages in a subtle, humorous and interesting way.  The most poignant page shows how happy our children are when we take the time just to be with them.  I hope you take some time to read and appreciate a good book with someone you love!  Happy reading!
